Grant funding is available under the following categories:

To deliver skills development programs and support residents with opportunities to build career pathways in creative industries.

  • Individual professional arts, culture or heritage workers living in Logan and seeking to increase their skills by, for example, mentorships with recognised arts and cultural peers, and placements with recognised arts and cultural organisations; or
  • Logan-based community groups and organisations to engage a professional arts, culture or heritage workers to develop their arts practice; or
  • Present arts development workshops or community projects, including documentation, preservation, interpretation and collection management training.
  • Attending professional development seminars or conferences or development activities, master classes and workshops.

Quick Response

up to $1,000

Support immediate need that arises where the activity is unable to be planned for or supported in other funding rounds, including attending professional development seminars or conferences or development activities, master classes and workshops.

Cultural Tourism / Creative Project

$3,000 to $5,000

To support projects or activities that focus on Logan’s locally distinct arts, culture and/or heritage both for members of that community and for visitors; or preservation and/or improved access to locally held collections of significance, and/or to collect and tell local stories from the past and the present of significance to Logan.

  • Product development by professional artists, either as individuals or in partnership with individual community members or community groups.
  • Significant art projects that engage professional artists, are accessible to the public and demonstrate a benefit to local placemaking, community pride of place and social cohesion.
  • Community stories which can be documented in a variety of forms and mediums including plays, videos, artwork, digital exhibitions, education programs, oral histories and publications.
  • Residencies undertaken by Logan creatives in the City of Logan.
     

Regional Partnerships

$5,000 to $10,000

To support innovative arts projects where artists, communities and councils work together in their community, or in partnership with another community, to achieve enhanced outcomes from RADF grants and that can demonstrate a partnership between: 

  • artists and local industry
  • artists and community arts organisations
  • artists and non-arts community

 

Council Strategic Initiative

$5,000 to $10,000

These are Council-led arts related projects that deliver on the current Logan City Council Arts, Culture and Heritage Plan 2023-2027 actions. Only Council is eligible to apply under this category for up to 3 initiatives per financial year.

 

Quick Response Grants 

  • Applications are open all year round. Outcomes advised 4 weeks after successful submission. Some flexibility may be possible, if required please contact us. 

Skills Development and Project Grants 

  • Applications are provided across 2 competitive rounds per year. 
  • Visit logan.qld.gov.au/radf for upcoming assessment rounds.
