Learn to swim to enjoy activities in the water

Australia has many rivers, lakes and oceans so it’s important for all Australians to know how to swim. You can learn to swim at any age. It is never too late to learn!

Strong Swimming in Multicultural Communities is a free swimming program offering weekly swimming lessons for adults 18 years and over from multicultural communities including newly arrived migrants and refugees. The program will empower adults through learning water safety skills, stroke introduction and will encourage participants to engage in swimming as a sport.

Come and earn an Australian swimming certificate, make new friends and build confidence to enjoy activities in the water.

With your new skills you can look forward to swimming as a form of exercise and sport.
