Project overview

We have upgraded the intersection at Teviot Road and Cusack Lane on the border of South Maclean and Riverbend. 

This project was delivered with support from the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.

Latest update The traffic signals at the intersection are now operational.

Construction commenced in September 2024, and completed in December 2024.

The Black Spot Program was introduced as part of the Australian Government's commitment to reduce the risk of crashes. The program targets locations where crashes have occurred or are at risk of happening.

We are committed to improving road safety across Logan.

Construction is now complete.

Project features

The upgrade includes:

  • a signalised intersection to formalise when vehicles can go, stop and turn
  • additional street lighting
  • concrete dividing medians to protect queued vehicles waiting in the turning lanes
  • new signalised pedestrian crossings at the intersection
  • dedicated on-road bicycle lanes approaching the intersection on Teviot Road

  • a safer environment for vehicles, bike riders, and pedestrians as traffic increases.
