Tertiary Education Bursaries

Logan City Council and some of the most respected organisations in South East Queensland have combined their resources to provide financial assistance to young people in Logan who wish to undertake tertiary studies.

Students from families with limited financial resources are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants receive a $5,000 bursary in instalments for each semester, or trimester, of a three-year course.

Eligibility

Are you:

  • currently completing Year 12 and demonstrating commitment to your studies
  • a resident of the City of Logan
  • planning to undertake full time undergraduate tertiary studies in 2026
  • in need of some financial assistance to realise your goal.

Applications for the 2026 Tertiary Education Bursary open on Wednesday 29 October 2025.

Before submitting your application, please read the 2026 Tertiary Education Bursary guidelines.

All applications are to be submitted online. You can apply online through Smartygrants.

Late or incomplete applications may not be accepted.

How is the decision made?

All applications that meet the selection criteria and the 2026 City of Logan Tertiary Education Bursary Policy are reviewed by a selection panel.

Applications will be rated according to:

  • academic ability
  • educational highlights
  • motivation to succeed
  • financial hardship
  • personal/social circumstances.
