Planning

Before submitting your application, you should make sure that the site has the correct land use for the proposed business and if any Development Approval is needed.

Building approval

To find out if you need building approval, you can:

• lodge an enquiry with us
• engage a building certifier licensed with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission 
• self-assess your proposed work against Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of the Building Regulation 2006.

Plumbing approval

Short-term accommodation may need plumbing and drainage approval for certain activities. This includes if you do not have access to a sewerage connection and have on-site sewage facilities.
