Under the Local Government Act 2009 and its associated Regulation, land may be exempt from rating in certain circumstances.
This includes land used for:
- religious
- charitable
- educational, or
- other public purposes.
If your organisation serves a public good that benefits the wider community, you may be eligible for a rating exemption or concession.
How to apply
Please note the process for rate exemptions and concessions can be lengthy due to the necessary investigations and the potential need for a report to be presented to the Council. Your patience is appreciated while we determine if an exemption or concession should be applied.
