The flood related provisions and hazard mapping of the Logan Planning Scheme are currently affected by the Temporary Local Planning Instrument (TLPI) No. 1/2023, which commenced on 30 October 2023. The Logan Planning Scheme does not apply to the priority development areas of Yarrabilba and Greater Flagstone. Development in these areas is managed by Economic Development Queensland.

Council is preparing a new planning scheme for the City of Logan: Logan Plan.
This major program of work will help us better manage our city’s growth, protect our environment, improve design outcomes, manage natural hazards and create opportunities for jobs and prosperity. Our draft Logan Plan is being reviewed by the Queensland Government to make sure it aligns with regional and state interests, plans and policies. We will then share it with our community so that everyone can have their say to help shape the plan to guide Logan’s future growth.
