At busy times there is nowhere near enough parking available within Riverdale Park. Cars are frequently double and triple parked making it extremely dangerous for other cars to get through, people, children and dogs.

Logan City Council have been promising to increase the parking in this park for well over a decade yet this still hasn’t been done.

People of all abilities, with children, bbq and picnic items, and dogs, should be able to park close to the facilities. Not everyone can walk down from the road carrying lots of things and supervising dogs and children.

With the plans to upgrade and increase the facilities within the park this should include additional parking. I was promised by my local Councillor recently that this would happen yet the blueprints shown and distributed at the local consultation within the park made no mention of more parking, which was also confirmed by the Councillor.

Please can Logan City Council fulfill their promise to put in extra parking which has been promised for over a decade including very recently. It seems senseless to upgrade the park with great new facilities and not provide sufficient parking for those wishing to use these facilities.
