It doesn’t matter whether you are more Shrek, Kermit, Yoda, or the Grinch – everyone is invited to go green this June.

Logan City Council’s ‘Go Green for June Challenge’ will begin this Saturday, June 1.

The online competition invites City of Logan residents to join their family, friends and neighbours in a month-long journey of environmental discovery and action, with the chance to win one of three $50 VISA gift cards in the process.

Participants can select ‘random acts of green’ from Council’s 30-day challenge calendar, see Eco Logan Go Green for June Challenge.

Activities include everything from participating in one of Council’s free environmental events – like LEAF, this Sunday, June 2 – to having a picnic in a local park, or even taking simple steps to reduce waste at home.

Each day, photos of ‘completed’ actions can be shared on Council’s Go Green for June Challenge event page on Facebook. Every photo is one entry in the prize draw.

Keen green machines who want to take things one step further can also complete the Logan Eco Survey from tomorrow at Have your say - Eco Survey

City of Logan residents are encouraged to share their ideas on how to protect, enhance, connect and celebrate the city’s natural spaces.

An even larger prize is on offer for Eco Survey participants – a two-night stay for up to four people at Mt Cotton Retreat.

Logan City Council’s Eco Logan program delivers a variety of educational workshops and nature experiences throughout the year, to boost environmental knowledge and deepen local connections with the natural environment.
