These works are aimed at reconstructing the road and drainage network in our city following the major rain event of 2022.
This project is being delivered under Council’s Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA) program. It is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and State funded Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) program.
What is happening?
Pavement reconstruction works include:
- reconstruction of the road pavement
- excavation works
- associated road drainage works
- removal of vegetation and tree clearing within Council road reserve as required.
- reinstatement of property entrances (affected residents will be contacted separately).
We have appointed a contractor, Naric Civil to undertake these works.
When is it happening?
Works are scheduled from July to August 2024, site and weather conditions permitting.
Works will generally occur Monday to Friday, between 6:00am to 6:00pm. Should works extend beyond these hours, we will notify affected residents.
Project impacts
- Changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits, short term lane closure and detours (as needed).
- Increased noise, dust and vibration.
- Temporary disruption to driveway access. Affected residents will be notified in advance.
