[Music] Got items that are too big to be disposed of in your general waste wheelie bin?

Cartoon style talking bin stands beside matress and various white goods sitting on kerb outside a home

Logan's kerbside clean-up collection service can help

So, what can be disposed?

Hard waste such as furniture and wood products are accepted

Green waste will be collected and turned into compost

Make sure it's free of rubbish, cut into 1 metre lengths and bundled separately

Grass or leaves must be placed in a cardboard box.

Some items are prohibited. This includes food waste, tires, batteries, fibro sheeting, refrigeration appliances,

Gas canisters, liquids, chemicals, hazardous waste and any items containing glass.

These items could cause harm to the environment or collection workers.

Collected items will not be recycled, so donate where possible and take recyclable materials to council waste facilities  or other collection locations.

If you're not able to, these items are still acceptable for kerbside pick-up.

A maximum of 2 cubic metres of waste can be placed out per dwelling,

This means that waste must be stacked in a pile no larger than 2 metres wide, 1 metre high and 1 metre deep

Place your items out on the kerbside the weekend before your schedule collection just make sure not to place items out  more than one week before your schedule collection and make sure foot paths, driveways, letter boxes,  water meters and power poles are not blocked.

We'll take care of the rest. Find out more  about Logan's kerbside clean-up collection service.
