Every morning and afternoon there is continual congestion for the set of lights at the intersection of Chambers Flat Rd and Park Ridge Rd. This congestion consumes not only the right turn / u-turn lane but the entire right lane of the road itself due to the overflow of traffic.
This then overflows the congestion onto both north and south bound of Chambers Flat Road between School Road and Marsden Primary School. Resulting in delays of between 30 to 45 minutes. This is affecting everybody during commutes to work and school drop offs and creating risk for the community where car accidents may arise and children walking to school may be injured.
There is also a new shopping centre/Woolworths being built and almost comple directly to the right of these already very problematic traffic lights.
The Road is not built to support the current growing population/infrastructure and at current there is also 4 more new estates being built which will contibute to this already developing issue.
The Road needs to be replanned to reflect the current and future infrastructure /population
A wider road and more traffic lights in between each estate to divide the traffic and lower the density. A new road that can offer alternative routes. The local council and government to remap and rectify the issue
