Landslides involve the movement of large amounts of earth, rock, sand or mud.
Landslides don’t happen often in Logan, but they are still a low-risk threat to our community.
Landslides can be caused by a major event like:
- earthquakes
- soil saturation from rainfall or seepage
- human activity such as removing vegetation and building.
Some of the signs of a landslide include:
- trees tilting
- water seepage
- breaks in the ground
- cracks in walls
- cracks and subsidence in roads and paths.
