Jack Cusack Bridge Rehabilitation

Project overview

We are undertaking rehabilitation works to Jack Cusack Bridge at Cusack Lane, Jimboomba.

Activities include levelling the approaches, repairing deck joints and replacing the asphalt at both ends.

Completing these works at night means less daytime disruption for this high traffic location.

This local upgrade is being delivered under our Bridge Rehabilitation Program.

Project timeline

Works are expected to start in late August and finish by late September to early October 2024 (subject to weather and construction conditions).

Please note that work will take place at night from 7:00pm to 5:00am Sunday to Thursday.

Project benefits

The Jack Cusack Bridge Rehabilitation means:

  • improved safety for vehicles
  • maintaining the bridge as local traffic grows
  • smoother surfaces for a better driver experience.

Project impacts

We will make every effort to minimise disruption. Given the nature of work, some temporary impacts can be expected, such as:

  • changed traffic conditions including:
    • reduced speed limits
    • lane closures and detours (as needed)
  • increased noise, dust, vibration and lighting
