Process once application is submitted
- Submit your caravan park or camping ground application to us using the approved form. You are responsible for making sure the application is complete.
- We will review your application and plans within the legislative or agreed timeframes. We will contact you if we need more information.
- When we approve your plans, you may begin the fit out. Your building certifier and licensed plumber will advise if any other building or plumbing approvals are needed.
- When you finish the fit out, you must contact us for an inspection before you start to trade.
- When we approve your licence, you can then start running your caravan park or camping ground in line with the approved conditions.
- We will inspect your business regularly.
Public liability insurance
We do not need you to have public liability insurance for this approval, but we recommend you to research all options regarding your business insurance requirements.
Renovations and alterations
If you are making changes like renovating an existing licensed caravan park or camping ground you will need to download and complete the Local Law Licence Accommodation / Camping Grounds Application Form (PDF 65KB) to amend your licence.
Licence transfers
If you are buying a caravan park or camping ground with an existing licence you will need to apply for a transfer of that licence.
