Get involved

You can get involved in our programs to help protect our waterways and our environment.

Environmental conservation partnerships

We often work with landowners to manage the natural areas of their property. We do this through our environmental conservation partnerships.

For more information please see environmental conservation partnerships.

Platypus Watch

Have you ever seen a Platypus in the wild?

Platypus have been recorded in Logan but we don't know their population or how this might be changing over time. We need more information to help us manage the conservation of this unique animal.

We have partnered with Watergum to introduce PlatypusWatch. This exciting program includes:

  • workshops to teach you about Platypus, how to look for and record them, and how to assess habitat
  • regular Platypus monitoring and recording events (called surveys)
  • events like children’s Platypus craft and information sessions.

If you would like to help us to conserve the platypus, please join us by getting involved. Everyone is welcome.

For more information please contact Watergum by email at info@watergum.org and / or you can subscribe to our regular newsletter with information about our environmental events and activities. To subscribe, please visit the Confirm subscription website.
