History

Flinders Lakes is the most southerly point of the City of Logan. Teviot Brook forms the boundary between the City of Logan and the Scenic Rim. Teviot Brook was named by explorer and botanist Allan Cunningham, who passed through the area in 1828. In the 19th century, land clearances for timber left the landscape open, allowing cattle grazing. The area is quiet and sparsely populated, with only a scattering of homes along Undullah Road. Flinders Lakes was once part of the vast Undullah station.

Flinders Lakes was gazetted as a suburb within the City of Logan on 20 May 2016. The suburb is named after its views to Flinders Peak.
