Water carriers

All drinking water carriers need a food business licence and to comply with the Food Standards Code. To make sure the drinking water is safe for sale and suitable for human consumption Council monitors drinking water carrier operations.

Water carriers are not considered a low-risk food business as serious health issues can arise if appropriate control measures are not taken to make sure the water is safe and the mobile premises are appropriate.

Compliance with the Food Standards Code and the Food Act 2006 will help you provide safe drinking water for your customers.
