How often we inspect your buiness depends on the type of business and your level of compliance.

Enforcement

If you are operating a licensed business, you must have a current approval and follow all legislation and all conditions on your approval.

If you have difficulty following or understanding any rules, please contact us.

 Not complying may lead to one or more of the following enforcement actions:

• a letter being issued requiring action or work to be conducted
• legal notice being issued requiring action to be taken or work to be conducted
• infringement notice(s) (on-the-spot fine)
• suspension of an approval
• cancellation of an approval
• seizure of items from the property
• prosecution.

Complaint management

We will investigate and respond to complaints.

A complaint may result in an inspection of your premises to ensure you are complying with legislation and your conditions of approval.
