We are aware of crash history at this location and have received grant funding to upgrade the intersection under the Black Spot Program.
We are currently designing an intersection upgrade for improved safety. Construction is expected to start in mid-to-late 2025.

The Black Spot Program was introduced as part of the Australian Government's commitment to reduce the risk of crashes. The program targets locations where crashes have occurred or are at risk of happening.
We are committed to improving road safety across Logan. This Black Spot project will help deliver a safer intersection by reducing the risk of potential collisions.
Project timeline
Design of the intersection upgrade has commenced. Construction is scheduled to start in mid-to-late 2025.
We will communicate with residents and business owners before works begin with further details, including timing and what you can expect.
Project features
The design includes:
- a right turn lane on Bumstead Road towards Julie Street
- new traffic lights
- a dedicated on-road bike lane
- raised pedestrian crossings at the left turn lane onto Julie Street from Bumstead Road, and at the left turn lane onto Bumstead from Julie Street.
