Project features
The upgrade includes:
- pavement widening from Millers Road to near Cascade Drive
- new kerb and channel
- improved stormwater drainage
- pedestrian footpath upgrade from Cristaldi Avenue to the bus stop on Beenleigh Road.
Project timeline
Works started in early October 2024 and will be finished by late January 2025 (subject to weather and construction conditions).
Project benefits
The Beenleigh Road upgrade will deliver a range of benefits, including:
- improved traffic flow on Beenleigh Road
- improved stormwater drainage
- improved connectivity to public transport.
Project impacts
We will make every effort to minimise disruption. Given the nature of work, some temporary impacts can be expected, such as:
- changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits, lane closures and detours (as needed)
- increased noise, dust, and vibration
- street parking changes (including loss of some informal street parking) and potential restricted driveway access (impacted residents will be notified)
- temporary footpath closures.
