Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or a curious beginner, join Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland for a hands-on workshop. Experts will guide you through how to install fauna cameras, sharing tips and tricks for positioning and securing cameras to capture the best wildlife footage.

The event will dive into the world of monitoring and recording wildlife observations through iNaturalist. Learn how to analyse and upload the data collected from fauna cameras, turning your observations into valuable data for conservation efforts.

Important information:

  • This event is designed for adults and families.
  • This event is recommended for children 12 years and over – parental/guardian supervision required.
  • Please ensure you are wearing fully enclosed shoes, sun-smart clothing and have a water bottle.
  • This is an outdoor event in a bushland environment with uneven surfaces and unsealed tracks. Participants must be physically able to be stand and walk through a park for up to 2 hours - moderate fitness required.
  • You must register and secure a ticket for all people attending. Spaces are limited - each session is set to a maximum capacity.
