Council provides a range of environmental events and workshops to educate and encourage an appreciation for Logan's natural environment in a fun and interactive manner.
Upcoming events
Free Community Tree Planting Event
Come along and help us plant a few native trees to help our local koalas and other wildlife! You can learn about the revegetation process and enjoy a free barbeque. This event is being held to communicate the Community Koala Survey results and to plant a koala tree for each completed survey which was held at the end of last year.
- When: Sunday 20 May 2012, starting at 9am and it will run for approximately 2 - 3 hours
- Where: Riverdale Park, Meadowbrook.

Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF)
- When: Sunday 3 June, 10 am - 3 pm
- Griffith Uni, Logan Campus, University Drive, Meadowbrook
LEAF is a free eco-festival which promotes eco-living in a fun, family environment!
Come and bring your family and friends to enjoy a huge array of free activities including:
- Hands-on workshops (including recycling and worm-farming workshops)
- Eco-business exhibitors
- Community environmental group displays
- Wildlife shows and displays
- Science experiments
- Free kids activities (face painters, jumping castles, giant rock wall, henna tattoos, giant slide, puppet shows)
- Free Zumba class
- Tasty organic food
- Free trees and other giveaways and much more!
Also don't miss the on-stage live entertainment, with music from Skipping Girl Vinegar, Anabelle Kay (both seen on ABC's Gordon Street Live & Triple J artists), The Twine & more!
This is a free community festival which welcomes everyone of all ages to attend and most importantly participate! Bring all your family and friends for a great day out!
