Mural art in Logan
Logan City Council has had success with the implementation of public artworks in the form of murals, which are specifically designed to present a positive alternative to graffiti attacks.
Murals have proven to be an effective tool in the reduction of graffiti and have received wide acceptance in the community.
Council will consider funding murals in local prominent locations that are a target of frequent graffiti. The murals are designed and created by artists employed by Council.
Several murals around Logan are already reaping rewards. These are:
- Mabel Park, Paradise Road, Slacks Creek
- Scouts Den at Priestdale Park, Priestdale Road, Priestdale
- Bayliss Road, Heritage Park
